Maria Yzaga (1995 ,Lima, Peru) is a multidisciplinary artist interested in self-discovery. The artist makes use of personal symbols resulting from her fascination with objects that relate to her female body, and pictorial representation methods that involve giving free rein to the unconscious. Her practice is performative in nature employing methods inspired by children's play, making gestural paintings that preceed the image and collage as an automatism logic to work in the construction of images and objects.
